        Careful.
The line from the house and to the comp. should be cool.
The low pressure line has the juice and will be warm or could burn the crap out of you.

We had two issues with our central air this year. The first time it wasn't hardly working and we ended up paying for a guy to come and hose off the thing outside. It was dirty and just needed a washing but we didn't know so we payed for him to use our own water to clean it off.

The second time the fan motor died in the attic. It happened late at night and my dad called the guy the next morning very early. At first he was going to come in the afternoon the next day. Then we told him that we thought the motor in the attic died (my dad tried to see what was wrong) and he said, "Oh! Well in that case I will come first thing in the morning." He didn't want to climb in our attic in the middle of the day when he would get roasted.

Since he couldn't come till the day after my dad called, we stayed in a hotel that one night. It went very well and we were still in warranty so the new motor was free and we just payed for labor.

Btw we use Collins 'cause they're down the road.

More than likely a capacitor is spent.
This involves pulling off the outside cover.
If this is it, is it at all possible it can be fixed tonight? I don't know how big a part a capacitor is or how difficult it is to replace one.

No, I can't do that. I'm very happy to call away. I just don't know who to call. :(

Thanks for helping as much as you can. At least I have some idea of what may be wrong.

They are generally around $20 bucks plus tax if that is what you need. If you call someone you are looking at $250-$300 installed. That is if you have one and not two of them.

There should be an installer listed on your unit, inside or outside.
If not google, HVAC and your home town. They are making a killing this summer and are always on call.
Im going to give the baby a bath and go back to drinking.
                              Good luck
