i went monday, got 12 bull whitings, a gaint sized spanish mackeral and a sheepsheads at surfside and the jetties... dont' forget starting today the flounder is down to 5 limit... gulp under a cork or fish finder rig will do the trick for both reds and flounder...

what i like to do is buy some live shrimp, and bring a cast net, go to the surf or in the bay and catch some bait, thats what the fish is going to eat most the time, if not, use the live shrimp

Talked to an electrician buddy yesterday. He went to surfside Sunday and caught 8 trout to 23" on free-lined croaker. Paddle-tailed Bass Assassins in pumpkinseed/chartruese hopped along the bottom or swam slowly with an 1/8th oz. jighead are deadly to flounder if live finger mullet can't be found.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

Get a cast net an get live bait from the surf...my hubby an I did this, mind you I caught the bait...... an he caught 4 38+inch redfish, an a whole mess of gavtop(spelling*), an got a hit from something that busted his 60lb test clean...we were thinking shark....so needless to say I stayed out of the water that was any deeper then my ankles.
