  • Got a job.. now I need to ask a favor

Many of my good friends are here and know that I have been without work for a while now.

I have a temp job that will take me on the road for 4-5 weeks.
So what I need to ask for is some help.
I have 4 tanks at my house that I need to ask help with.
I have someone here who can do the feeding so that is not the problem.
I need a couple of friends to come over and do water changes.
Total time here is going to be around 3.5 hours to do the change.

If you are interested in assisting me please PM me with your interest and I will see about setting up a schedule etc..

Tanks to be drained and filled are.
    180 with a wet/dry
    110 with a wet/dry
    70 canister and HOB filters.
    58 canister and HOB filters.

Tomorrow I will clean all the filters that needs to be cleaned, so there is no need to clean filters, just drain and refill.

    I appreciate it.
    Thanks and keep smiling :)
    Jesper

The main issue is with the two large tanks.. Their evap will make the sumps run dry around 2 weeks.. (or a little more, which means if no-one do it then I am looking at running pumps dry within a day or two more.. )

The smaller tanks will make it because the evap isnt that bad on those tanks

I dont use a python. I use much faster and better tools
1" spa hose to drain. The 180 drains in about 5-7 minutes
I use a carbon snake to fill. Its slow but I get absolutely clean water hitting my tanks.
I have a timer on the hose, and for the 180 it takes just about 50 minutes to refill.
All I ask is that the person shows up, and I will supply everything you need.. 90% of the time I imagine you are going to watch tv waiting on the water to refill.. (this is what I do.)

I leave Tuesday morning. I will do a final water change on Monday so after that I will need someone to come to my house for a couple of hours every 10-14 days on the outside.. once a week cool but I am not going want to inconvenience to many people. The reason 14 days is the longest is because that is how long the 110/180 with evap will last before the system starts sucking air into the pump.. Something I am trying to avoid.

The 180 has an ATO which refills the sump.. it takes about 14 days for it to run dry.
The 110 has little evap, but no ATO and it takes also about 14 days and its to its lowest point. The 58 and 70 would last the time frame but I would prefer not to have tanks sitting for 5 weeks without a water change.
