Happy veterans day to my brothers in arms of the 56th Combat Brigade 36th Infantry Division. These gentleman are currently training at Ft. Bliss and deploy for Iraq sometime in the next month. As well a special thanks to the soldiers of KFOR 7 (Operation Enduring Freedom) I enjoyed serving with you and often find myself missing your company. Thanks for all the people who have no problems thanking us, and love the veterans and active duty people.
I served in the NAVY from 92-97 and I have been in places where they did not like servicemen.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes. I served in the US Navy from 1977-1984. Sunday my neighbor had a welcome-home party for a young man home from Iraq. I shook the young man's hand and told him thank you for serving.
To those who served and those now serving, Thank you very much.

I was in the Army from 1977 to 1980.
Thanks to everyone who served, and also those who support us.
Like Geoff said, some things were different then. We got little support, and were looked down upon by folks we were trying to protect. I really like the way things have turned around.
Always remember that the soldiers are doing their sworn duty, and may or may not agree with the current issues. But they put their lives on the line for us anyway, so we should show them respect for that.55g Planted- Malawi and Victorian Cichlids
