Liquid cooling is nothing new, Cray computers in the 80's were liquid cooled (nitrogen that is) and when I built this box a few years ago I thought about water cooling it but decides against it. As a mater of fact I build rack type server and mass storage systems at H.P./Compaq up on Sh.249 and some of our high density racks use a hybrid air/water cooling system that pumps ice cold water from the buildings chill water ac system thru a radator mounted in the rack while fans circulate the air inside.
