Best windows based laptop on the market

I think that when they switched from motorola processors to intel processors that it was on their mind - especially considering they put out software to support booting from and running Window natively.

In fact, if you think about, its a genius move. Imagine how many more thousands of units they've sold now that dedicated p.c. users can have their very own sleek silver macbook and still run the OS they're used to. The same thing is gonna happen to the iPhone when Verizon launches it next year. All those that refused to leave their network will finally be rewarded with the chance to get an iphone, as much as Apple will be rewarded with that many more unit sales.

Yes, the move really helped knock down some barriers. The Higher Education institutions jumped on it first. They quickly understood the possibilities of only needing to purchase 1 lab to do the job of 2. K12s are starting to see the light - slowly (it almost depends on what part of the country you speak with)

Then you have the folks screaming about price but not too many of them do their homework before they open their mouth.

The topic says best windows based laptop.... Mac is not the best based windows laptop.
Allienware or Dell IMHO are the best.

I would have to do the research, but some PC testing area ran test about a year ago regarding the best computer for windows. In the end, the mac was the winner.

When we went to intel - that is a definite YES.

You can even call our support line regarding installing Windows under Bootcamp. I've been at Apple for several aahh-hhaaa moments

I would have to do the research, but some PC testing area ran test about a year ago regarding the best computer for windows. In the end, the mac was the winner.

You have more options for customize a PC based computer, I'm not sure but mac comes with 5400rpm HD vs some PC that can use 7200rpm or solid state HD. Also the ammount of mem supported.

Mac is a really good OS with a really good hardware, I would recommend a mac to a home user or student if money is not an issue, but for business PC based computers are the king because almost all the networks are windows based. That's the true, believe or not... Agree or disagree that's the true.

You can't touch a mac - even if you NEVER boot into Macintosh. Antidotally, I've had more than a few tech friends in the IT field tell me that they've switched to macbooks simply for the aethstetics. They still run Windows 90% of the time, but like having the sleek design, better construction, and versatility of triple boot OS capabilities.

So, we're still looking for the best laptop that runs windows period, and not the most economical laptop that runs windows in the business world, right? Then Mac is still the winner. Believe it. )

I have been cussing all of the PC based systems I deal with for years. If money wasn't an object, I'd never touch another PC. And I do have plenty of Mac experience also, I'm not just basing that on the opinions of others.

Why pay over 3k for a system if you can have the same for less? This discution is more based about the best hardware. I wife owns a mac and she love her laptop but it's not my stile... I'm a PC guy.

My company support over 1000 users and a couple of hundred servers (windows, Linux, solaris and unix). The only one with some mac is a newspaper in the graphics designers area. The rest of the customer (oil companies, medical centers and car dealers) are PC based customer and you know why? Because for cost analisys is better.

Finally the best computer is the one that you like and the one that you can pay (as everything in this life).

I whole heartedly agree, which I is why I consider macs an investment and not just a purchase!
