Fascinating........

Do you guys see how the post originally started out as an insulted type mentality to changing the tone to one of understanding, compassion and yet at the same time figuring out what is the best way to go...and concluding that while saying cheaapooo was not maybe the best thing, but that person may have figured that the HFB is a localized institution that going over to Trophs. com is a more states wide flavor.

If there was ever a threaded post that evolved as much as this one,,, I don't know of it....

However, lets also look at something else too..

If anyone says that the economy is improving,,,,,,, They are not looking at the realistic figures, especially those people who lost their jobs and now in order to make a living, are working two or more jobs... The people who have the two or more jobs just to make ends meet, are losing their homes, the vehicles, their life style...

Sooooo what is left are the people who cannot all the time afford the best prices of fish.. I mean........ lets look at the Petro red bulu... $700.00 dollars for one fish... I imagine that John could do a lot with 700 dollars.

But for what its worth....This so called slight against the box as it were originally labeled was not really a slight at all... rather... its a compliment to the fact that there are a wealth of petro's (Alex has Reds??) No one else had Reds until they started bringing them in... A huge wealth of Tropheus.... My gosh... Look at the list of Tropheus being pumped out... Enough to probably fill Alison of Cichlid and Herps orders for a month of thursdays..

The folks here on HFB are a fantastic group, with lots of good will, patiences (Lord knows, I have used up patience with some of you folks) but contrary to some of the things I have heard... This is a pretty straight group of people who at times do have their fun and digs... but rather a good group that helps...

From what I have noticed... There have been at least 7 moves in the last year (that is what I have noticed) and some of you guys have been in on all of them.. I think...

I guess I am reiterating what was said about relationships and the quality of people on here...

All of you have much to be proud of ....!!!!!!!!

It was put into the Lounge for a reason...obviously it would be a 5page thread if people didnt care about. and I think it has kind of grown into something more than how it started...from this thread I have learned about some of my fellow boxers and their views. This is a good conversation about how people feel on fish pricing and the price of used goods...no harm, no foul. It yet to become a heated argument(which rarely happens in the first 5 pages of a lounge thread!!!). Nothing was said about Willie's fish or the price he is asking...if anything...he got free advertising for these fish!!! Personally, I would like others to get to post their views on pricing.

I will openly say that I am one of the ones who currently has a debt with you. My word was to have you paid back before the new year...and I 100% plan on making that happen. I wish I could have paid this off sooner, I dont like having debts inside my network. I have seen friendships go south over debts before. Personally, I would never sit there and call people cheap...not in the economy we are living in today. People are struggling who have never struggled before in their lives. I feel for people going through this right now. There is nothing but bad news everyday about the economy; stocks are going down, people are losing their retirements, companys are laying off, companys are going bankrupt, and on top of all that...it seems like daily we are getting closer to seeing our government completely ruin the world's greatest healthcare system...meanwhile extracting as many dollars as possible out of the working man's pockets. If people are out there trying to get good deals on hobby related items, I say go for it and dont be ashamed to do so. For some people, this hobby may be all they have left that keeps them sane.

Different ppl places different values on the same item. What one person considers worthless could be someone else' gem. In my opinion the seller can name whatever price he/she wants to, if he/she feels they are being low-balled, don't reply or just simply say no. It's also understandable that a potential buyer may try to get the best price they can for the item in question regardless of the state of the economy or their fiancial situation. If the buyer low bids the item then he/she shouldn't feel bad when the item goes to a higher bidder. If there is an agreement between the seller/buyer, then fine, and if not so be it.
There is really no need for anyone to feel offended for not comeing to agreement on what an item is worth, whether it's a fish, a tank or anything for that matter. Just my 2 cents.

why? because he gave me one of his wc illangi for FREE long time ago...i have it in the tank next to me right now...i know it is a male...but still...he could sell it...
now not that many people giving free fishes away these days...
