  • Just wrote a masterpiece

I'm sure nobody on here gives a crap, but I'm freakin excited. I just sat down a minute ago to goof around with my guitar and ended up writing a masterpiece. It doesnt happen very often, but some days, its like something just takes over and magic starts to happen. I cant wait to get the band 100% again and show everybody our tunes. Anyway, I'd just like to thank the Devil and His infinite evil for inspiring me to make Metal Magic!!

Very interesting. I was just talking to my singer about this the other day. He was telling me that he's been having nightmares and he swears that something "evil" is in his house. I told him that it was the music that we listen to. I'd say 9 out of 10 of the bands we listen to are anti Christian and the more you listen to it, the more it starts to shape you as a person. Our band isnt "satanic" or anything like that but we arent singing about love and happiness either. I would have to say that music makes the man.

I'd agree. The music you listen to becomes your companion, you invite that stuff in when you listen to it, and your companions influence you. I had a few nightmares and waking up in cold sweats back in the day when I'd fall asleep listening to stuff. A few alternatives, if you're interested: Demon Hunter, Project 86, We As Human, Extol, Living Sacrifice, These Five Down, The Showdown, Inhale Exhale, Underoath, Disciple, or check out radiou.com.

A band doesn't have to sing about love and happiness to be christian. The beauty of life is the contrast between euphoria and dejection. I actually prefer the hard rock christian music because its more honest and the other stuff is just too syrupy and unrealistic. But we still have good music...

post the name of your youtube channel, please :)

i'm of mind that if we have a particular emotion working on us, the music portraying that emotion will resonate and affect us more strongly. but i must say that so often men don't know what emotions are effecting them - so it SEEMS to come completely from the music...

but maybe it's just me :)

I have a video of me playing the song on the guitar but there aren't any drums, bass or vocals. Its really just so I wouldnt forget what I wrote. I have hours of that stuff all recorded. As soon as we get the whole band on the same page we are gonna start recording.
