Im sorry...Colt simply chose himself over the team. That said that he wanted to protect his "NFL Career". Personally, I dont see him having a good NFL career...I just dont see the toughness required for the job. College QB and NFL QB is two totally different things. Kind of like a good AAA pitcher could totally suck in the Big's. Texas had a real shot towards the end. The QB settled down and the O-line finally started to handle the Alabama's D-line. Texas WR's dropped WAY too many passes as well. Alabama simply outplayed Texas and deserved that win. I mean there are guys on that team that wont play football ever again after college...that could have been the biggest game they will EVER play in and to think about HIS personal future instead of the team's needs...really shows his character. Everybody on that team practiced all season, worked out, did their part, went through 2-a-days, all together...and to seperate himself in the last game...c'mon, really???
his arm was probably bothering him...yes...could he have returned...most likely.

I'm a huge Mack Brown fan and have been since his Tarheel days.
It's Mack's team and his hide on the line to insure the well being and safety of his players. People who are safety orientented such as myself do have an overkill attitude when it comes to protecting the people we are in charge of. The only thing we truly care about at the end of the day isd seeing that the person is healty and can be there for their family and lead a productive life. Destroying themselves for the job or a game isn't what it's truly about at the end of the day.
Colt had quite a bit on the line to stay in this game and play and he wasn't able to. He didn't make that decision.
Him not staying in was the result of decisions made by alot of persons to protect the person not the player.Comment

Yeah, I turned the game off after Colt was hurt. just clould not stand to watch it.
I like Colt, but i don't think he has much of an NFL career. He may be a back-up QB somewhere, but he is just too small to play in the NFL.Comment

I am just going to say you all are ridiculous when it comes to Colt. He didnt quit on his team and I promise you he will be a fine QB in the NFL and Lawsman if he is to small so is Favre, Brees, Rodgers, Romo, and so on the average height in the NFL is 6'2" depending on what you read Colt is between 6'2" and 6'3" so tell me how he is too small. And the decision to keep him off the field was Mack, Davis, and the Training staff not Colt he wanted to go back in he even suited back up in hopes of getting a shot. If you watched the game and him on the sideline he was trying to fire up his team and you would notice that his right arm looked limp like he had no motion in it. And unless any of you were out there and got the hit he suffered then please be quite dont accuse him of faking an injury unless you have evidence not just hearsay. If you all were great players why the heck are you all doing what you are doing instead of making millions of dollars playing.Comment
