And by the way Colt lost more not playing then he did if he played this was an audition for the NFL now he will get questioned on whether he can play just like Sam Bradford is getting because of an injury so its really idiotic to fake an injury in such a televised game as this because it brings up more questions then it answers to NFL scouts.

Hey, I'm a big UT fan and a Big McCoy fan. Only time will tell if his is too small to play in the NFL. He has "beefed" up a lot since he's been at UT. I think it is not just about height. I hate Sam Bradford, but he has the size to be an NFL QB. He may not have the heart for the NFL. I would like to see McCoy's heart and attitide in Sam Bradford's frame.
This is one of those times where I wish what I think is proven wrong!!!!!!

All he needs is 10 more lbs and he will be the same size as all the other QBs in the league

I just dont by it. It was the comment made that put a bad taste in my mouth. The quote coming from the locker room was that he needed to think about his NFL career. at that moment...that game is all that counts. I believe in leaving absolutely everything on the field, diamond, court or whatever your playing. I hate when people look to the future games or possible situations...sports should be played in the moment. I will admit that I dont like watching college football, and didnt watch Colt play much at all, but from an outsider looking in...he didnt leave it all on the field...or so much as break a sweat. And yes, I did play sports (baseball to be exact) and not to sound too proud of myself...but I was d*mn good. I tore a tendon in my right arm (my pitching arm) and developed a bone spur in my right elbow that is still there today...and as a junior in highschool, all of my college hopes came to end. Scouts stopped showing up to games, I wasnt recruited for select leagues anymore, info on big name schools stopped coming in the mail, and to ride the pine after always being the go-to guy is a tuff situation. If he truely is hurt...I wish him the best of luck in recovery.

That comment wasnt coming from Colt himself. Besides so if you were playing in a college game you would never think about your future and the chance of going pro and making millions? You wouldnt ever think when the training staff and coaches say you are to hurt to play and make a difference and if you play you may destroy your shot at the pros you would tell the coach so what put me in? If you would then you are by far a better man than me because I would listen to the coaches and ride the pine and get better.

But you would not be looking out for your future well-being.
Only about the here and now.

We talked about this at work today, and my heart wanted to believe exactly what the post stated (and this is before I knew about that story). Thank you for sharing the previous link.

Many of us as competitors want to give it our all - all the time. This is great as long as we are healthy, but sometimes the body says "I'm done". It is hard to listen to your body when it happens, and it may take others that know better (and usually more experienced) to shove you in the right direction

Well Colt and Vince will always be my 1A and 1B the both are the best QBs the school has ever seen and have more heart then anything. For Colt you dont set the record for most wins if you arent tough and dont have heart. You dont have the best QB rating in school history if you arent a smart QB. I was unsure of him coming in being this little kid from west Texas but to me he has more than proven himself as argueably the best QB in school history and college football.

Colt got game. I think if he could play both him and his dad would have wanted it. I think it's a matter of him not being able to go out there and doing the things needed to win.
