Ever run up to meet the UPS guy halfway?

I'm power-reading my latest "book" so I can start on the two I've already downloaded. It's insane. I bought 2 books and they were ready in just as many minutes - maybe less. I think it took them longer to generate the automatic email than to have my books available!

Only down-side is I ordered a cover a few days ago, and they cancelled my order yesterday. :( But I ordered a different one tonight, and it should be getting here early next week.

I really want an e-reader, but I've got to have one that has a back light. I like to read in bed and my better half doesn't appreciate me leaving the lamp on. I've resorted to reading books on my phone, which is fine, but it gets a little old having to flip pages ever two seconds.

PS.........I would shoot myself in the foot before I paid for an ipad in case anyone was goin to suggest that option

After reading the reviews and looking at the features of the Kindle, Kindle DX, Sony Reader, and the Nook... The Nook won hands down for what I thought was the best buy, and most compatible, and not so much sole-source software.

Out of those the Nook would be my choice as well.
