Kron is still good to me but I've always only like some of their songs.

Seether: posers, they jumped on the band wagon with Breaking Benjamin and a ton of others

Staind: quit crying about your child hood. Nobody gives a F that you're daddy didnt love you. I'm tired of hearing the same song on every album

Linkin Park: sold out. They used to be kind of original, but now Chester (the screamer) wants to write sing-alongs

Korn: I used to get down on some korn but the crap they produce lately is boring and uninspirable. Again, nobody cares that your dad took advantage of you when you were a kid. They just aren't relevent anymore.

Sometimes I think people give a lot of 80's music a lot of crap, yes I think there is a big problem with most of it being from foreign influences, boy bands, MTV BS, and electronica, but some of that music is great.

I was in a Metal band while in Highschool and a couple years after in the lat 80's early 90's. I was in Orchestra from 4th till 12th grades, on violin, Bass Violin, Cello, and piano. As long as I had the music I could play anything.

There were some really hard songs for bass that came from Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, and a couple of Cliff's bass lines for Mettallica were really hard to hit every note.

In Bars we would mix our own, with covers we liked, and what was popular.

Despite what we liked and sounded like (Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Testament, Anthrax, Suicidal Tendencies, Obituary, Sepultura), nothing got the bar more pumped than some kick *** covers from George Thorogood, ACDC, Motley Crue, GNR and nothing got girls naked faster than a Hair Band Ballad. Oh yeah buddy!

Bands that I think deserve credit from the 80's are and some..

Stevie Ray Vaughan, Tesla, Talking Heads, The Cure, Metallica, Violent Femmes, Iron Maiden, NIN, The Replacements, and Queensryche.

I agree that right now, it is hard to find something good on the radio. I have been listening to Blue October, Three Days Grace as of late and I like that new Pearl Jam song. I wonder what their album sounds like?
