  • Earth worms in aquarium :

I just found 2 earthworms (live) in a filter pad of an Emporer 400. I don't change often so they have been there at least a month.

Black worms look like teeny earthworms.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

I have 10 HOB filters; mostly I use quilting in holders but also some standard filters. I clean them with a hose then lay them in the garden for "bugs" to finish cleaning. The earthworms entered then, likely when small. They are now 3 to 4".

Cool. Apparently they thrive on fish poop just like they do on rabbit poop!
