            5 Guys Burgers and Fries.

Location: Garth Rd in the Conns shopping center.

I get the double bacon cheese burger with mayo mustard ketchup pickles lettuce and grilled mushrooms. Comes with cajun fries and a drink for under $6.

            BEST BURGER EVER.

I have tired Taste of Texas. I'm big into steaks. I only recently went to Papa Bros. But they are really good. Pricey but good.

I have to admit it's better than taste of texas.
I ate my fish that died.

                  From their website:
At Pappas Bros. Steakhouse, we remember the pleasure of dining the old-fashioned way, the way brothers Jim, George, Tom and Pete Pappas served their Guests over 60 years ago. Today's generation of Pappas Brothers is committed to creating an environment reminiscent of the fine dining style our father and uncles enjoyed providing to their Guests.

Our focus is on a total quality dining experience; in the food we offer, its preparation and in the service we provide... quality that knows no shortcuts.

We offer an extensive cellar, with more than 2,300 wines to complement your meal. Our wine stewards and knowledgeable staff will be happy to assist you in your selection.

After your meal, treat yourself to a delectable dessert fresh from our bakery or a fine cognac in our lounge.

We hope that your visit to Pappas Bros. will be an evening to relish — a dining experience reflective of the quality we are dedicated to provide — quality that is old-fashioned...quality on which we proudly put our name.
H.D. Pappas left Greece in 1897 and traveled to America to pursue his dreams. He brought with him a passion for quality and service that became the benchmark of his success as he opened restaurants throughout Tennessee, Arkansas and Texas.

It was this same dedication to quality and service that H.D. passed down to his sons and grandsons. His sons, Pete and Jim, chose a different path than their father and entered the restaurant equipment and supply business. They opened Pappas Refrigeration in 1945. Jim never dreamed that his sons would come full circle by opening their first restaurant in 1976.

Lopez Mexican restaurant on Wilcrest- best Tex-Mex in Houston, maybe anywhere. Better than Mi Tierra in San Antonio, IMO.

Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

JJ's Burger Works in Rockport. Best burgers I've ever had; when I'm down there I'd eat there everyday if I could.

Nobody's mentioned Barbeque, so my best is Hinze's on Hwy 59 in Wharton, they smoke the brisket for 24 hrs over a pecan wood fire. Texas Monthly agrees, it's one of the best in this neck of the woods, not taking anything away from the Houston Places, but if you're going to Rockport, etc. try it.
