The Aeros have managed to win two championships (1 AHL, 1 IHL) in thier history, however 3rd in thier division is the best they have done in the last 5 years. All of our teams are at least worth taking a game if for nothing else than the venues. We do have a handfull of really nice stadiums.

The best part is that I'll be working right down on Main St., pretty close to the stadiums, I believe.

This will be the first time I've ever lived less than 2.5 hours from a major sports team. That's how far it is to Detroit (3 hours from my hometown), and about 3 hours to Chicago. I was 4 hours from Fenway when I lived in New England. I managed to make it down there during their 2004 World Series run, which was a treat, though the tickets weren't cheap.

Gentlemen (and any ladies), I think I'm going to enjoy the sports scene being so close!

Downtown? Minute Maid and Toyota Center are downtown. The host the Rockets, Astros and Aeros. Dynamo plays at UofH until the new stadium is built downtown. The other team plays out yonder
