I got lucky this year, slept till dinner, woke up, ate dinner, went back to sleep. Avoided dishes and uncomfortable family-situations all in one whack!

I'm sure I'll hear about it later though, Where did Rick Go?

well, Seemingly I'm just sitting here, but truth is, I have our Building Automation System running, with this in the background. :)

We have restrictive net access, no Telnet or Java applications, mainly just able to see webpages. Porno is a bad idea too.

Ever consider bribing the IT guy? :P

Re: Any Late Night Lukers out there?

No chance....we work different schedules and at work every other work bay has a computer terminal for work orders and such so everyone would have it.....also everything is overlooked 24/7 by coporate which is in Virginia or something.....

.....even the cooling/heating is controlled by them and right now I think it's cold where they are at cause we still have the heater going in the shop..

I'm sure I would get caught pretty quickly......maybe we should start a thread about people who use the workplace computey for HFB....

I'd definatly be guiltyof that, but it's not my fault, I only have a modem at home.

I know if I tried to load up this webpage it would gack twice and croak!

Re: Any Late Night Lukers out there?

BTW, depending on the system type, it could be impossible to get caught.

If you have a building automation system they have to have some type of electronic controls for temperature and sometimes valves, but some places didn't pay the extra money for electronic valves and still use the old pneumatic type. If youhave pneumatic heating/cooling valves they can be anonymously manually overridden very easily :P

Re: Any Late Night Lukers out there?

We have complained numerous times cause it boils in the shop during the summer when the heat is on......the answer has been the same as always...corporate controls that....

We also get phonecalls in the middle of the night when one of the camera catches something suspicious from corporate(virginia) so they are watching us all the time.

The thing that blows the air.. it'll have filters on it that sucks the air in, a coil of some sort with a motor and ductwork coming out of it to blow out wherever..

Unless you all use roof top units, bleh

                            How is your temperature sensed?

Re: Any Late Night Lukers out there?

I think the units are on the roof and the ducts are just giant box tubes that are floating around suspended by hangers.

I have no idea how the temp is sensed but I could snap some pictures later on tonight when I'm at work.

Re: Any Late Night Lukers out there?

If they are roof top units, manul bypassing would be more difficult.. depending on the temperature sensor though, I will be able to help you with that one.

THe easiest/fastest fix if it's too hot, is to put a light bulb right by and pointing at the temperature sensor, get me some pics though :)
