I'm sure some of you do this, too, but for those that are really busy, take advantage of any time you have between classes to work on any little bits of stuff you can. I had Bio at 8 am and English at 10:30 am on Mondays, and I'd do my math homework for Tuesday between the Monday classes. . .
The other advice I have is that if you're really busy (shoot, even if you're not), chip away at any large assignments during this time, too. . . those creep up on you. I usually like to have just touch-ups left the night before. I can't tell you how many times I've seen students try to cram in a whole insect collection, with pinning and ID, in the last two days of the semester. Not a good idea.
