New off road toy????

I have been throwing around the idea of getting a toy to go off roading and get into the beach with when I go back home. Anyway For some reason I have been looking up these 1980's Suzuki samurai's haha. Lifts are cheap, parts are cheap, and they look simple to work on. Also If I can get one for a good deal on Craigslist, I think I might just jump on it, But I only have about 1000 saved up right now.
So does anybody know anyone that has a 4x4 model for sale and what do yall think about this???

If it will fit throw an ls1 in their, a snorkle, a flood light rack, vvme hids (12k) in main lights, fog lights if it doesn't have them with vvme hids (6k), roll cage, bladed grill guard, I'd bolt lexan sheets cut to fit with 1" extra all the way around for windows, and paint it full camo.

It looks awesome as is, just some ideas.
