Yeah its a cool show. I've only seen the frst show. I always miss it when it comes on. Fro some reason the dvr will not record it.

All the tanks are cheesy... Seriously, coral inserts in a peacock tank? It's amusing to watch the guys bicker but the tanks are lacking!

I tend to agree with cheesy. The phone booth tank? A 2x2x8 tank really? And the keg tank w/ coral insert was the worst. I have only seem them create one natural looking tank, aside from the finished tanks the interaction and construction are entertaining

What did you think of the single Tropheus in the keg tank with the peacocks?

Yeah Tony the single Troph really bothered me. I just didn't want to get too far up on my soap box. The guys are great at building aquariums not so much on knowledge of the fish or the best environments for them.

From a 12 year old point of view they look cool! But I thing the keg tank with the peacocks was cheesy.But the one about the open heart surgery kid aquarium was cool.

I like the show, but I don't think they do many freshwater tanks, hence the single tropheus.

The thing you have to remember is it's a show, and there building show tanks not lifelike tanks that look "natural". Kind of like the chopper show OCC. They make all there money on basic choppers sold to wealthy people, but the show is all about their out of this world display bikes that would be almost impossible to really ride.

I understand and actually made the same analogy between the two shows myself. Even with that understanding I don't care for their tanks, but can still appreciate the show for its entertainment value. However a single tropheus is unforgivable under any circumstances

They focus on how the tank look for a customer perspective, honestly I don't think they worry a bit in how the fish is doing as long they eat , they put it in there, they are not like us that we like to give a fish a tank like "real habitat". To me is too much commercialization. My 2 Cents

What I don't get bout the show is how they fully stock the tanks rite after fill up. They don't cycle the tanks or what?

That's what I was thinking but just wanted to know if any body had any other ideas.
