Pickin' this baby up tuesday. I'm gettin' the blued version .45 acp. Can't wait to get to the range with a few boxes of rounds. Houston shops wanted up to $780 for it but T's got it for me for $583. Woohoo!

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.
I went to the range saturday and put 150 rounds through the new 1911. It is hands down the sweetest-shootin' pistol I've ever held. I'm gonna order another this week.

Shooting at Texas City gun range, Dan. Any time you want to go just let me know. Charles (guygeek) has a range near him that I want to try. We need to get together with him and go up there, too.

Nice find there. The Taurus 1911 isn't that bad off the box. Is it a tactical?
Blued, very nice. Buy some buffers and it will make it smoother on the recoil, IMHO.
My bro has the Taurus 1911. We put it through 1000 rounds all HOT loads before cleaning. Took us 2 days.
The Taurus is running like a champ still.
I have a Kimber Custom Tact II that is black & has been blued on the top receiver (the color is a maroon, violet silky color) & trigger smith-ed. My Kimber loves hot, HOT loads. She cycles through them like Ron Jeremy does his co-workers.
Ditched the Kimber, it was nice and fun to shoot but it got heavy carrying it everyday and learning from my past, once I decided there was something cooler the old ones just sit in the safe. I has a hoarding problem.... at one point I had built like 20 AR's and they would never see the light of day.
The Sig P238 has been the best one yet! I loved my old kahr p380 but this one takes the win and a spot on my hip.
My boss got me sold on the Rem 1911. I'm not a kimber fan, as I think their quality went WAY down as the demand went up and trying to keep up with production. But you can get a GI model Rem 1911 for around $500 and it is seriously the nicest fit and finish I've seen in a long time. Just my 2 cents.
