  • Fishing and fish keeping go hand in hand?

I know it does for me. I'm an avid wade fisherman for trout. Went Saturday and caught 3 trout over 5lbs. All I use are arti's. How many of us are saltwater addicts?

I fish all of Galveston Bay. I only wade fish but I use 10lb mono from either suffix or ande in the colder months because fish are more finicky and 12lb in the summer because I catch a lot more then. I have good summer spots for generator. The only Abu Garcia I use for trout is the revo or the lightness and low profile.

Very nice. I wade for flounder during the fall run.

Would like to know more about where you like to wade fish.

I've had a few bad experiences with bull sharks. A few times I've had them knock me down by running into the back of my knees and other times eating my entire catch off the stringer.

Use P-Line flouroclear. Best line ever! It's flourocarbon coated so its tough and almost invisible underwater. It's almost like cheating ! And it lasts forever. It just doesn't go bad fast enough to have to respool it once or twice a year like lots of other line. I use 10lb "test" but it actually breaks closer to 17lbs according to the IGFA. and it is SUPER thin. I use baitcasting reals only. Shimano. It might be a little too stiff for spinning reels.... (Egg beaters.. lol)
