scientific name is evilus maximus. hooray for finding meanies over the weekend. my gf found a stiped bark scorpion sunning on the windowsill. i have need fed it to any fish yet.

lol, no i made that up for maximum evil. by the way it is holding itself on the webstrand in the first pic and by its body type i would agree with tony that is is likely one of the zillions of types of female garden orb weaver. i have seen many around but never an orange one. Heres a good site:

we have it pretty good in the US. little bitty spiders and scorpions that sting like wasps. were you in an area where the death stalker scorpions lived? those things are bad news
