There are already huge breeding colonies in Buffalo Bayou, I could see 2-3 foot adults and was able to capture juveniles with my bare hands.

I had seen the same article posted by Fish Gallery yesterday on Facebook and realized it was about Florida, not sure if they were aware they are breeding and well in our Bayous already. Florida Fish and game even has tried posting techniques for proper cooking of them to encourage anglers.

        "Edibility
Fair to good, but difficult to clean and best to cook 'in the shell,' after which the white flaky meat can be slid out." (taken from the Florida fish and game site)

and a recipe for Mango Pleco from a Floridian

Yuuuum...guess we know what to do with our overgrown fish instead of flushing them, eh?

i will need ideas on getting rid of the aussies later. the King tried to get rid of them by putting them on the most inhospitable island that he could find but that only made them overly polite and good natured. i have never seen one wearing long pants so i believe that may be a weakness of some sort and should be in the plan...along with fosters
