  • D800 does dance recital...

I got a chance to try out the new cam in a dark environment at my daughter's dance recital today..
The theater was dark, dark and the camera earned its worth...

The D300 is a fine camera. I actually wish I had not sold mine. I missed a few shots with the D800 this weekend at my kid's Tae Kwon Do test that I would have been able to catch easily with my D300. I missed it because the D800 is only 4 fps, whereas my D300 was 8 fps with the grip.. And as it always is the case, the missed shots are always the critical ones..

Did you have the camera on a tripod? What were your ISO settings? I'll need to shoot my daughters recital in a few weeks.
