yall sound like some hard workers to me.  lol.  with my job though, one thing that sucks is im not home every night.  so my wife who has been roped into the fish hobby is my feeder and nurse when im gone.  i usualy go out for 4 days so dont spend as much time with my fishy i like to but my wife takes care for me.  now if i could get her to clean a tank or too. ahah.

I teach 7th grade science, I wipe tears, I clothe, I give food, Iprovide the tissues for the runny noses and the band-aids for the cuts and scrapes. Underpaid babysitter.

lol.  my wife was a secretary at an elemetary school for like 6 yrs, and decided to go back to school to get her teacchers degree.  so shes workin on that so she can get paid way more to babysitt and have some job security instead of an atwill job.

mrairportjunke - I was down the road you are on today.  I have about 400 hours total time... I stopped because I ran out of money and started into the computer thing hoping I could save up enough money to get my CFI and start teaching.   By the time I had the money I had other priorities in life.   There is always times though throughout my life that I have wished I had borrowed more money to finish my education and getting the CFI.

zulaab:  Yeah i miss flyin the 152 and stuff.  they were fun.  your flyin time looks like about what i have flown plus i got somemore on the list but about the same to start.  where did you start flyin??  
i spent almost every dime i had to get here and then some.  lol.  be payin loans for awhile. but hey its worth it.  I have had some really hard years and probably will again with the way this industry is but for now its good.  i make good money,  good time off, and love my job.  wouldnt change a thing.  but if i woulda went to another profession. by this point in my life i would have more money.  lol.

not necessarily there mrairportjunke.....some of us thought the same way and did the change and are still not making enough.....but then there's those of us who have reached an age where money isn't the most important thing anymore....just as long as we can finance our fish/tank habits...we're good to go.....hehehehehe

I LOVE teaching..I really do!  Just sometimes I hear so much crap about what is wrong with our kids today..and the first people they blame.....teachers *sighs* I guess the gossipers at Jury Duty got to me.  I also provide hugs, and fish for them to study, hedgehogs for them to love, knowledge for the to grow, and a heart in which to feel safe.

I actually wanted to become a teacher and stopped the mechanic thing a few years back to continue my education....but I think I was put here to be a mechanic cause I'm right back where I started and loving every bit of it!

Its unfortunate that people blame teachers for what wrong with our kids it parents not being parents and kids not fearing their parents. Lord know I was scared of doing anything wrong and having my parents tear into me. Its also ashame that teachers and nurses get paid so little and they go to school just as long as I did and make less. I say props to all teachers and nurses because with out them we would be stupid and sick.

You know I have an aunt that is a teacher and she says the same things....."I love my kids...I want to give them the best....yada yadha yada".

and she teaches in HISD so I guess when you get that fire going there's no stopping it.
