Has anybody had lasik/lasic

Im going in on thursday for the scan, and friday for the procedure.

How dry do your eyes get?
How much did it improve your eyesight?
Would you do it again?
How long ago did you get it done and has your eyesight worsened again since?

My friend Lu had it done...
Here is his comments on your questions.
He was one of the first people in Houston to have what is now today standard, back then called custom lasik.  Now everyone has that procedure done because it does that much of a better job at it.  (this is why you are being scanned Thursday).  The scan will tell them exactly how to program the computer to exactly remove the amount needed from your eyeball as necessary to make your eyes perfect.
1.  Be ready to sleep / or be no good to anyone on Friday.  He had to wear a patch over both eyes rendering him basically blind and was allowed to remove it Saturday morning.  -  Be ready to wear sunglasses a lot in the start he said.
2.  Buy a bag of the little hand held (in the office medicine cabinet) one shot eye drops (he borrowed many from the office over time)  Took about 6 months to get completely over the need of eye drops
3.  Lu went from not being able to see beyond 6-8 inches to 20/15.
4.  Lu said "in a heartbeat I would do it again"
5.  Late 2004/Early 2005 cannot remember when.
6.  The eyesight has not worsen at all..

well i went in at 10am, and was back home by 12. I had to wear the funky goggles for 4 hours and keep my eyes closed.

I just looked out the window and can see all the way down the street. wont know what my 20/?? is yet, before it was 20/70 Left, 20/200 right.

The procedure is weird as hell, but painless. Even when they cut and peel your cornea off your eye.

Aw man, I would have been up and out of that chair if somebody tried to do that to me! I guess it's different if you're there though. I hope you can see better!! My uncle had it done and he LOVES it. He's a pilot so it has really helped his hobby LOL! Congrats!!
