How to keep kids from touching tank?

    Most that actually touch and tap are young, 5-10. The older kids just look. I'm cautious with correcting kids, because each parent has their own way of disciplining their children and I have had some bad experiences with parents.

      Is break a few fingers they'd het the point then hahaha no but seriously is have the parents told they will get a fee for touching the tank and like fshfrk said set up a camera and rake in the money

        In all seriousness, I agree with hanging a sign on the front door & on the tank. In addition, I'd set up a little table next to the tank with a jar of some sort on it that reads "FISH TANK FINES" & throw a few bucks in there so it looks like you mean business. Parents will see BOTH signs & the jar & know you're serious about it. Explain to the PARENTS that tapping the tank stresses the fish, kids don't uaually understand without a visual reference (like ally mentioned the scene in Finding Nemo). First time, I wouldn't charge them unless it's a repeat offender. After that, fill the jar.
