  • Best Fishing Trip

... in a long, long time. My friend took me to East Bay yesterday. The water was like a mirror all morning. We had two limits of trout in the box by 9:30, using Big Nastys. I took some pics with my phone:

The sunrise was amazing and the porpoises followed us for about 15 minutes as we were leaving.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

That's awesome mark! I haven't been able to get out fishing like that in a long time. I imagine it was a long time coming. Got any pics of the fish?

Awesome pics! I thought the porpoise on the far right, in the third pic was a duck. Lol

No top water bite? I like big nasty plastics especially in the winter.

                  very nice catch Mark

Yesterday I took a vacation day to flounder fish. Being the last day for a 5 limit I headed out to Seawolf.

Was out of town sun to tue and knew I was missing a good window after the front.

Sure enough 5.5 hours on the water and no fish to show. My worst ever at Seawolf

I might get back out Saturday. I'll hit you up tomorrow if I decide to go. Don't fish Sundays because I go to church. Next Wednesday morning looks open for me too FYI.

Sorry guys, didn't take any pics of the fish. A couple were right at 25" and fat as footballs. It was the first time I'd tried Big Nastys. LOVE that bait... in fact, I ordered some today. We were using the Cajun Pepper color. Marburgers in Seabrook had some in stock. We fished some man-made reefs about a half mile west of the east shoreline. My buddy has them on his GPS and took us right to them. We also caught some of the biggest sand trout I've ever seen. He was throwing them back but I threw 4 in the box for lunch. I love fresh sand trout, fried crispy. A couple of those babies were an easy 2 lb. Days like that make me sorry I ever sold my boat.
