Seems like bootleg cable that's illegal. Could work but if it doesn't its not like you can sue someone in cour for something illegal in the first place.

It's not illegal. You don't have to use a Comcast provided modem to get their service. I bought a generic cable modem (as opposed to DSL modem) also from CL and I use it with Comcast. You still have to pay for internet via Comcast, but with a generic modem, Comcast won't charge you a fee to rent their stuff.

yes those modems do work nothing illegal for me i used it at my parents and i dont have to pay the 7 dollar modem charge monthly. Like sunny said you have to pay for your internet with them. Ive got one for 15 bucks if your interested

Well the modems that I posted is to gain free internet by just having basic cable

Exactly what I was saying... Buy at your own risk. If you're paying for internet service any modem won't matter. We have a Comcast modem but don't pay any renting fees.

It's not like free cable TV back in the day. With digital signals, tracking is very easy and even more so with a modem because an IP address has to be assigned to the modem in order to connect to the interwebs from what little I understand.
