The difference is I'm not a deranged lunatic, nor have I ever pulled it on anyone but I would to protect myself, my "castle" or my family. It's as easy for kids & adults alike to buy drugs as it is to buy guns & guns are regulated!
Tightening gun control is not going to stop things like this from happening. Timothy McVeigh didn't use a gun, nor was one used in 9/11. People who are prone to "snap" are going to snap & they're going to use whatever tools their insane state of mind dictates at that moment.Originally posted by Chris.d514 View PostOn the same day as the shooting here a man in china went to a school and stabbed 22 kids. you can be the best parent you can be BUT if the kid has problems in the head you can't really do much but take them to get help from a professional. The "good beating" would probably make the kid worst than he already is IMO. Kids that DON'T get beat tend to talk to their parents about everything and that's how things should be!!! Some might disagree but I have a boy of my own. You can teach them one thing but they do have friends that they learn from also.

Re: How do we stop mass School shootings?
You know how you stop this? Get the media to stop broadcasting it for way more than is needed... You get those crazies that want to outdo the next to always be remembered instead of being a nobody. You guys are already supporting it. Think about it. You remember the assailant and his/her name more often than the actual victims unless of course you knew the victims personally. I'm sure half of you, myself included, can't name all of those victims of the shooting, but you'd probably know the name of at least the guy who went in there and killed himself afterwards. I can name a few off the top of my head, but that's only because they listed each victim's name and age on the cover of the New York Times.

I didn't mean to come off as a racist. Sorry. I guess you're afraid of blacks EK and you're a racist because when my friend sold Kiko the ikola, y'all took pictures of him for the fear of being robbed or whatever. Actions speak louder than words210gPetrochromis Macrognatus Green 'Nsumbu

I made a remark about white kids killing, not to be racist but to make a point about bad parenting. Too many families are more concerned with their careers instead of their kids and this happens. Kids building bombs in their rooms without their parents knowing. As a parent, there's not many excuses for kids behaving the way they do. Kids are mostly a reflection of their parents. The Caucasian culture as a whole doesn't believe in corporal punishment when it takes a village to raise a child. There's no accountability now because the majority of Americans don't agree with punishing children. I'm not one for beating my kids, my dad was a marine and beat me and it made me resent him, I just believe that that time out crap is over rated and disciplining a kid in that manner makes them believe there are no consequences for their actions. Talking to them and finding out the source of their behavior is the most important. My dad beat me but talked to me about my behavior. And he didn't let me play games all day like kids do now.210gPetrochromis Macrognatus Green 'Nsumbu

Dude open your eyes. Who do you think the majority is in America? It's not about race. It's about politics and society. Gun makers, game makers, parents, etc. Certain games shouldn't be played by anyone under 18. Do you realize that kids aim to be like the things they enjoy? In the black community I grew up in, most kids grew up to sell drugs because the drug dealers had nicer clothes and shoes. They find out what those guys do to attain those things and they do it. I can personally name 10 out of 15 of my personal classmates that sell drugs. Same thing with this. Kids who play these violent games wanna see how it is to actually kill people. Some of them are brave enough to bring their fantasy into reality. Look at "The Halo Murders". Who do you think supports all of these things?210gPetrochromis Macrognatus Green 'Nsumbu
