How to get a driver license:
- beg someone brave enough to teach you how to drive
- endure screaming, name calling from that person
- get up in the morning and wait at the DMV for at least half a day to set up an driving test
- go to the driving test and get failed by a mean lady
- reschedule the test and take it again
- pass it but must wait another half day to get your license

That's why CHL is inadequate in my view.

we should ban vehicles or make stricter laws on them too...


avg of 3.7 people killed by firearm for the year of 08-10 when looking at homicides, 9.2 killed if we count suicide and unintentional.

In that case, they get neutralized the minute they raise a gun and walk into an elementary school armed with adequate protection, i'e', armed personnel. That's also an OK outcome in my book.

Didn't say she wasn't responsible. What I'm saying is that she couldn't shoot him dead even if she wanted to when her own life was at stake.

well that's like saying men are worse drivers than women because there are more accidents caused by men. Men drive more often than women of course the chance for men to cause accidents increase.

I'm not moving the goal posts, the topic is about stopping mass shootings. Go back to my main point, the family is the main reason why things like this happens. It's a cultural issue that people often overlook.

I didn't mean that. Here's another analogy, a person that handles kitchen works often will have higher chance at getting knife cuts than a person who never cooks.

Bad analogy. There's a point where you get so much practice at handling a knife, you cut yourself less often than one might think. I slice fajita meat all day at the local carnicaria and I don't cut myself anymore....

I was just responding to Cichlidfarm for saying this place have this law therefore this didn't happen... well....

If the mom, Lanza's first victim, was armed... then the tragedy wouldn't have happened.... Oh... wait.. oh the drama

I believe the point was that had anyone at the school had a firearm it could have ended sooner. Take a look at the would be theatre shooting that was just stopped by an off duty officer who cornered the gunman and stopped him before he could kill more. There is also the Pearl, MS shooting where the assistant principle had his truck parked a quarter mile away from the school so he could keep his gun in it. As the shooting started he sprinted both ways and help the killer at gun point until the police arrived.
