    BLACK FRIDAY

    Wondering if anyone ventures out on Black Friday to start their shopping?  Personally, I avoid leaving the house on this day.

    If you do go out shopping, anybody camp out the night before?  And what is your motivation??

    In the not too distant past, we would camp outside Sears for the free gift cards.  Motivation...Stupidity!  

    Didn't do it this year and don't plan on it next year...unless they are planning to give away $50 or more...LMAO!

      We drove from Sugarland to Pasadena for dinner with the family yesterday, and on the way past a Fry's and a Best Buy (at 3:00pm) people were already lined up outside the store!!

      So then I had to explain to my 9 year old step-daughter exactly WHY we weren't going shopping today.  It went something like this...

      Me - "It's chaotic at the stores today because everyone is out fighting for good prices."
      Her - "Yeah, but there is an whole kitchen set for $699 at <whatever>!!!"  <-- apparently she thinks she needs a kitchen set...who knows....
      Me - "Well, here's what would happen if we went out to the stores today...it would be madness and people would trample you to get to the kitchen set before you.  And if you got trampled, I'd get mad.  And then I'd have to shoot someone (I have my CHL), and then I'd go to prison.  So in the end, you'd be trampled and I'd be in prison and that would really put a damper on Christmas."  

      She seems fine staying in today.

        Haha! None for me!! We're going out to eat, then walking around campus for free stuff that they give out on game days. Then, at 2:30, A&M is beating the hell outta tu

          Yeah, I just don't understand it myself. There were literally tents pithced in front of Fry's and Best Buy. I thought about camping out at FR2 for the sale today but then I realized... Oh Yeah, fish people are much more obsessive than most (at least here in our house) and it could get really ugly in the mad rush for the BN Pleco's. I thought there was going to be a riot at the auction, just imagine the "Mad Rush" vs a controled auction  

          Seriously though, if (Big IF) we go anywhere it will be FR2 and that is it.

            Actually, you wouldn't go to jail. The law was changed this past September. There no longer has to be "deadly force". You now just have to be in "fear of your life". So shoot away if you are in fear of your life. :) One CHL owner to another. :)

            But be prepared for the Civil Courts. You may lose there. :(

              Oops! I forgot to add that there is no way in hell that I would go shopping anywhere on this day. It will be total chaos and not worth the effort.

                yep, i was tricked into going shopping with the female today, lol. if i don't post again on this thread today, it probably means i was trampled to death.

                    Yep, that's what the trainer said..."If they live, they will sue you....if they die, their family will sue you...sucks."  LOL  Black Friday is just not worth it.  :-)

                      I agreed as well to go out too.  I have to buy some cat food!  Ever have two full grown cats that are hungry?  I can't take it anymore.

                        I feel your pain brotha'.  I, too, have very vocal full grown cats who behave as though they are never fed.  Good Luck and Godspeed....
