I refuse to even go to Walmart today...not happening. I would much rather chill at home...My Dad went to Best Buy a few years back to get his laptop. Got in line at 4:00am and was one of the last ones to get the "ticket" to redeem that deal. They had a limited quantity, so they gave vouchers to the first however many number of people were stupid enough to be there. I thought that he was crazy, and stayed home with my mom (who thought likewise)Comment

Have to admit I went to be the stand in line person for my older daughter. Got there at 5 and Santa is done!!! Went to Memorial City Mall and they were nice enough to stagger the store openings. Target was only pain in *** so they are off the list forever. We just left.
Past bunches of places on way to her side of Houston {Spring Branch ] -- the lines were for blocks. No way. I hate the COLD & there has to more of a REWARD than sales to endure that .
Went to eat lunch & get a massage. Back to her house to hideaway a few little things and drive home. Don't know if eating solid food after yesterday's meal or the massage was tougher but the stores were hit & run. Just pay & they send it to package pickup - she goes on a weekday & pulls up to the pick up door for them to load it. The girl is a pro.
Now if we had stopped at Walmart w/ those crowds we would still be there. LOL V"There will come a time when you have a chance to do the right thing."

My wife and I went furniture shopping after we closed our store. No getting up at 4am for us though. We ended up getting a bad *** coach and ottoman, and tall kitchen tableComment

I went last year.....camped out with a bottle of Hennessey and pockets full of warmers... didn't get the dirt cheap laptops that I wanted but I got a nice 47" flat panel HD LCD for cheap.

Well, we did it. We went out and braved the crowds and traffic, even though we have a strict rule about going out on black friday. People were driving like idiots but we managed to make it to Fish Ranch 2, barely. This was going to be the ONLY place we went so it seemed safe. Got some great deals. 4 stage bio canister filter for $89 with a pump priming system. Charles hooked us up, we got 2 of em. Got some meds and some angels for the kiddos along with a few other items. BUT... forgot FR2 was next to Shrpstown Mall. When we left, I was begging Imagirlgeek (my wife) for knoves to swallow. I wasn't sure we would get home safely, I was ready to end it all right there if it meant dealing with the crowds. Okay, not really. We just wanted to get home and work on the aquariums but.. I would have swallowed knives if I had to go anywhere else.All men are created equal but his choices determine his value and what's in his heart determines his worth.

I went out today and went to FRII and picked up a few things, then City Pets to pick up a AquaClear 50 for $24.99 and a couple of other items.

I had to work til 12:00 noon; then went directly to FRII.
I felt awful I couldn't afford the used tanks or even the new half price one I wanted...so I got some Common Brown Plecos, albino Cories, O Cats, and Julii Cories.
I was gonna write Santa a letter, 'cause I want some of the awesome Sailfins Charles got in, and some more tanks, and...then I remembered I'm Jewish.
Maybe if I wrote to the Rothschilds...
