      Re: Plinkers!

imagirlgeek - nice :)  That is all I am going to say NICE :)  -- I would like to personally get a HK USP fullsize 9mm one of these days.  Love that gun.
For Carry I carry my full sized Sig Sauer P226 9mm, but I dont carry often as I dont like loose clothing and its hard to conceal without loose clothing.
Maybe in the future I will carry more often.
Now back to what I would like to replace it with... The Sig Sauer P250 9mm...

Now to the last part.. if you think fish are expensive..then dont dare put some effort into keeping yourself current with ammo, because its like gas... gone through the roof.

If you want to see my cheese website.. it has pictures...

Thank you.   :)  I went over my budget when I bought it, but decided that it was more important to have a gun that felt right in my hand, than to buy one that didn't feel good and was less expensive.  As for concealing...I have a purse with a built-in holster and lock when I want to carry, but I imagine that would be a problem for you.

Screename - The Kahr is a good choice.   May I recommend checking out the S&W M&P9 or the Springfield XD series (I comparison shot the M&P and the XD and I like the M&P better, but this is up to one self to what they feel better about)  I have talked to owners of the new P250, and they are all impressed to hell and back with it.   The cool thing about the gun is the fact you can re-do the gun into all 4 major calibers without replacing the lower. Re: Plinkers!

Its way more fun shooting big guns at moving targets.  A buddy took me hog hunting, and he let me use his 7mag, and he used a 300ultra mag.  it was awesome.

                      Re: Plinkers!

I used to be able without blinking an eye to pick up 9mm ammo for $85/1000rds. (June-Dec 04)
Now the cheapest (as of mar07) $125 for the same identical ammo... just 2+ yrs later...  That sucks.
Right now I prefer to goto Academy where I can get Monarch green (ie brass) for about $6-$7/50
Both 40, and 45 you are looking at pushing $11-$14/50
When I go and want to plink (the sound of a bullet hitting a steel target) I usually head out with about 250 rounds...  plus ammo for the rifle.. at least rifle ammo takes a lot longer to go through.

Ah....okay.  That's why I haven't noticed.  I've only had the gun for about 3 years so I wouldn't have noticed the increase.    I guess I just never knew the difference.

Chinese are buying all the metals.

People are stealing AC units for metal to sell, because scrap yards can pay good money for it.

A friend of mine who works at the Port Authority Docks, says they unload all day long Holds upon Holds of shipping containers full of Chinese made goods.

He says all he ever see’s going back to China, is containers full of scrap metal, and empty containers.

What does that say about us anymore?

she cant handle a shotgun.  heck shot gun would take her shoulder off. plus shotgun will tear up to much crap in the house.  pistol will only put a hole through one thing.  and if the shot dont scareem away, then they need to be shot at again and again till you hit em.

Get an unchoked shotgun an the spread should make any shot count :P Plus the sound will scare anyone away.

Make it a 20 gauge with bird shot and it wont kick much.
