Why did I receive an infraction on my own sell thread when someone low balled me?

I never said it was all mods Traci. I didn't mean to talk down on the rules but I remember reading where you said that if the OP allowed the thread to go in a particular direction and didn't complain then it was OK. Not sure if that rule was changed but I really didn't see anything wrong with my post.

Fair enough. You are right, we did used to handle it that way. But then we had a run of major hostility in the Fish Market. It was really out of control. That's why we had to start cracking down on the Fish Market. The No Discussion rule has always been in place, but we had to really start enforcing it in the last year or so. The other forums are more lenient when it comes to off-topic posts, but we really want to keep the Fish Market on track since people are there to buy, sell or trade. It also has to be frustrating for some member's threads to keep getting buried while other's are continually bumped because of a conversation going on...or 5 pages of drama.

I'm gonna go ahead and close this thread. IMO, it's been a fairly valuable discussion, and so far there's hasn't been any blood loss. Probably best to quit while we are ahead.
