    Can I go home now

    I am tired.. got up this morning in pouring rain at 6:45am.  Out the door at 8:03am....  Drove to Burnet (almost)
    Left said area and arrived home at 6:35pm.   Left at 6:40pm to come to work...  now its 1:52am and I want to go home.. this upgrade should have been done and over with... I am tired.. to tired to care... I just want to go home.

    What fish do Jesper have

              Ohh my gawd, was I pissed off.. I left the office at 2:10am and going into the 2am rush traffic on 59 and Beltway 8.. holy camoly people at that time in the morning.. what the hell are you doing out driving (almost grid lock on 59) and people....  learn that a taxi can take you home safely..  Mr/Ms Officer brings LOTS of grief if you are pulled over..  Saw two people last night doing the walk for sobriety last night, and I had to drive behind a car that didnt know which lane he/she should stick to especially in curves...

                Hence the truism "You don't learn to curse 'til you learn to drive."
                When I was doing installations for Time Warner and DirecTv, I became convinced that most people drive like idiots...after a while, I reaized I was being unfair to "idiots".
                (I reconsidered terms like "unrepentant hellspawn".... )

                  Since you where in that business I am sure that you saw anything and everything from hell driving on the roads.  I suppose I am lucky about that.
                  What I HATE more than anything else are drunk drivers.   They only piss me off more and more each time I run across them.
                  I wish Texas would do the same thing as counties in Europe do with drunk drivers.

                  1st offense.  1yr probation of your DL..  you get stopped again for ANY reason and its gone.
                  2nd offense  2yr REVOCATION of your license.  - we catch you driving auto 90 days in Jail.
                  3rd offense  90 days in Jail - auto revocation of license.   2 yr later you can take the complete driving test over, plus you have to have taken mandatory alcohol classes (where they teach you that driving while drunk is not a smart idea etc).  If you have a 3rd offense you cannot have your car on your property, ie if you are the only person in your family who can drive you have to sell your car, or put it at someone elses house for 2 yrs...  The only person I know who got a 3rd offense had to park their car for 2 yrs at his brothers house.  

                  /venting off about stupid drunk drivers..   You drink, you can afford to have someone sober take you home.  Dont put someone elses life in jeopardy just because you want to have your drink on.

                    Amen to that, brother.

                    I have a few more pet peeves, like Jose and Luis (or Goober and Philbert) tooling down the interstate towing a dead vehicle with a piece of nylon strap tied to the bumpers.
                    Or, how about the "clueless how to drive here in the US" drivers; Senoras driving the Hubby's or boyfriend's giant pickup or SUV at 50 mph in the left lane terrified to go faster; pulling into moving traffic without looking at a very slow speed and mantaining that speed in spite of vehicles jamming on their brakes and horns blaring; and pulling up to a red light in the right lane (with the left lane unoccupied), keeping everyone waiting to turn right, and then going straight when the light goes green?
                    I am phycologically bald from mentally pulling out my hair in frustration!

                    (In Mexico and South of there, this is how drivers drive, almost completely free-form. You haven't lived 'till you've watched 4 Toyota taxis pass each other at speed on a narrow 2 lane highway, ignoring the 3 people on a 125 cc dirt bike and the bicycles sharing the same lanes.
                    Cattle are on their own! )

                      I feel your pain. I just got back from DRIVING from Eugene, OR to Houston. I was helping some friends move, you could imagine how many crazy drivers we ran came across.
