  • Christmas Shopping Experiences

So I was curious if there were any good (or bad) shopping experiences this season.

Girlgeek and I are pretty much done. We managed to get 98% of our shopping done on line. We went to Fish Ranch II and I made a brave move and went to two stores. Bed Bath and Beyond which wasn't too bad at all a couple weeks ago. I knew exactly what I needed and I was in and out right after work so it was a fairly safe trip. But, I did make the mistake of going to Wal Mart last night. Girlgeek warned me not to make such a dangerous move and certainly not this late in the season. Well, I did it anyway and I have to say that I am still recovering. I can honestly say it was like a John Carpenter movie. I did manage to escape with my life and haven't morphed into a vampire yet but the fatigue and emotional stress is going to require therapy.

Actually, guygeek did 98% of his shopping online.  I can honestly say that with the exception of the white elephant gift, I did 100% of my shopping online.  I am not a 'shopper', and haven't been to a mall in about 3 years.

I did mine a while back.....the only one that was troublesome was for my Fiance....every day to work I would look at the traffic in front of the Galleria and I would keep driving.

One day it was not as bad so I exited and got to the Galleria.....jam packed! No parking, TONS of people everywhere! Luckily I didn't know where the Tiffany's was so I got to stand in a long line at the information booth. I did get excellent service at Tiffany's though and was in and out pretty fast.

yeah my wife gave me the greatest present ever.
and about jareds.  i love there service.  u buy something and as long as they ahve inspected and cleaned it for free in last 12 months, if anything happens to it, stone falls out or something like that, they replace it for free of equal or greater value. so my wife loves saphires,  expensive. so when you buy a neckless thats NOT CHEAP. lol.  expensive anywhere you buy it, if this place will stand behind it for lifetime, then i dont mind payin few more bucks.  but i do alot of price shopping, and there prices are usualy the best.  someplaces cheaper, but jareds stock is jared exclusive 80% of the time and other stores all have same stuff.  but thats just my 3.5 cents. lol

i would like to wake up and a stocking with my name on it appear from somewhere with a gift card to Bass Pro Shop, Gander Mountain, or Academy.....and.....another gift card for any and all fish stores in the houston area.....that would be the ultimate ......or......a four day paid hotel near Choke Canyon Lake so i could go fishing....now that's what i call getting the best gifts money can buy.......but then again...that's just my 2 1/2 cents as well......

I did my shopping online this year via a group fish buy!

But I have a partime job in retail. I work for a high end retail store in Highland Village. I feel sorry for people coming into the store today and Sunday trying to find last minutes gifts and other items.
