Thing is if dont have over 5,000 in hard cash to shove out. And if im gona get a car why not go new and get the warranty. Buy used with high miles no warranty if something happens.

I once put about 210K miles on a car I paid $1100 for. Only quit because the transmission sent out at 309K. Motor was still purring. Hope you find a good ride soon man

New cars are the biggest rip offs. Depreciation per year makes new cars the biggest waste of money. Buy used. My first car had over 300k on it before it quit. Paid $2k. Even buying a car with 30k is relatively new and significantly cheaper in price.

Well Good luck anyways, i am saying what i said out of experience, most warranty only last like 3-5yrs nowadays and in that time period is highly unlikely something will happen. Is after the warranty ends that you get the headaches espcially with chevy, ford, mazda,KIA, or the other manufacturers that have new cars for less than 15k.

I think it is bad mojo car week or something. Some MFer hit and runned my scoob in the parking lot. Now my front left headlight is pushed in and the gap is all Fed on the bumper and adjoining panels, cracked the bumper. I put a lot of time any money into my WRX I was soooooo pissed earlier.

Good luck on finding a new ride, I feel your pain

a junkyard motor for that car shouldn't be much.

would be a helluva lot cheaper than buying a new car.

Just about any car should last till the 200k mark with proper maintenance. I did spin a bearing on mine with around 135k but it was my first car so it saw fot's daily and i neglected to replace the oil pump which had acted up for 2yrs prior to it breaking. Older civics, corollas, saturns or even a focus would make for a reliable cash car. If you're looking for new, there is a good lease deal on corollas.

I did an engine swop in my truck about 6 years ago. I was trying to get home from an out of town job. I let it over heat and it broke a rod.
It was $600.00 to swop doing the work my self.
