I run a 33 point pool every year for anyone who may be interested in participating. It takes no football knowledge to participate and is completely random. Here are the basic details of the pool. If you would be interested in playing you can PM me (or reply to the thread and I will PM you).
You can enter up until 9/5/13 (first game of the season) assuming there are still slots open.
-Everyone entered will randomly be assigned the same number of NFL teams (1 or 2 teams depending on total number of participants)
-Excess teams are not used
-If your team(s) score exactly 33 points in their game that weekend, you win the progressive jackpot
-If multiple teams score 33 in a week, then those participants split the jackpot evenly
-You keep the same team(s) until the jackpot is hit, then are assigned a new team(s)
-If an unused team scores 33, nothing happens and all keep their current teams
-Final jackpot of the season is awarded to closest team(s) over or under 33 points, if a team does not score exactly 33 in the final week
-Cost for the season is $85 ($5 per week)
-The more people signed up, the faster the jackpot grows!
-Example payout if all 32 slots filled (or sub in total number of participants for 32)
-Week 1 Pot: 32 * 5 = $160
-Week 2: 160 + (32 * 5) = $320
-Week 3: 320 + (32 * 5) = $480
-Etc until a winner hits and the pot resets
