I know deer season is coming up soon in a few weeks. I have a lease just outside of centerville that I've been on for about 12 years. Has a few nice deer and a ton of hogs running around. I shot a nice 8 point last year, I'll post a picture of it when i get home. But I was just wondering if anyone else on here hunted.

Dove season opens down here the 20th. Hope it's better than last year. I'm deer hunting in Gonzalez county. Not really huge deer, but willing participants...lotsa hogs, too.

What's the story on hogs? In NM they were fair game, no license required for resident's.
Biggest ive hunted was prairie dogs, some massacres too I might add!

There is no season on Hogs but you do have to have a license. I was told that by a game warden who stop me while I was hog hunting with an expired license. And of course he gave me ticket for it.Originally posted by danielp View PostComment

I meant bacon in a general term for pig. Ive had wild pig slow cooked and it was delish!

I'm on a place in Llano. This is our third year. We have seen a few nice ones but nothing special yet. Owner has us on a management program but I dont think its really working. Surrounded on three sides with people who arent participating.
Yes, you must have a hunting license to hunt hogs. No bag or size limit though. They are every where just have to find a place to let you hunt. They will also make a circle and may be gone for months at a time but they will be back around usually.
