Ogrodii, You got taste of DSLR camera. Canon and Nikon are best camera in market for normal use. For me looking for a camera I will look on the high number in ISO and the price so on the se D5100 and D3200 I will choose the D5100. Because it have higher ISO then the D3200 (ISO is the number indicating a digital camera sensors sensitivity to light. The higher the sensitivity, the less light is needed to make an exposure.) it make pictures brighter. Also the price of the D5100 cheaper. I am a fan of Canon I have one Canon ReBel T1i It work great for me in past two years it have a sensor clean durst when you turn off. The http://www.bhphotovideo.com that where I buy my camera from, they have a reason price for the camera than another store sell cheaper but the take the battery sell separate. and don't forget buy the battery grip it work your money when you a long video. Good Luck

Ogrodii, what are you planning to do with your camera? Are you using it to take pictures of active kids or landscape or night shot??
Do you have a concern with size? Do you plan on buying lots of specialized lenses, or are you fine with just the kit lens?
Will it be a travel camera where size matters or does camera size and weight not matter much?
Depending on your needs there may be better cameras than the D3100 or D5100.
Also, what is your budget? Do you have o be under $600 or $800 or $1000?

Wow, it is good budget $700 . I think the D5100 cost you around $597 and Lowepro Flipside 300 Backpack $72 ( I love the backpack it can carry my Canon and my camcorder with all acceseries also can carry the tripod in the front. I think you will like it) . Vello RS-N2 II Wired Remote Switch for Nikon DSLRs with DC-2 Connection $7.00 You will love this one when you take multi shot without shake. so total price is $676 under your budget. ( price from B&H photo) let me know what you got.
