Calling for All Hands on Deck!
Here's the deal. I've been doing some volunteer work for our local animal shelter here in Sugarland. It is a really great shelter. The staff actually care about the animals and do everything they can to make their stay at the shelter a pleasant one, and find good homes for them. They also don't euthanize because of overcrowding or a time limit on their stay. It's all about finding the right home for the right pet.
To my point...once a year, the shelters in Fort Bend County get together and do a Mega-Adoption event at the Fort Bend County Fairgrounds. The prices for adoption are greatly reduced ($40 for dogs, $20 for cats...this includes all vaccinations, spay/neuter, and microchip), and you can see a bunch of dogs and cats from all the shelters in one location. I need help getting the word out.
There is a Facebook page where we are posting information about the event, and also gradually getting some photos of the pets that will be available for adoption. If you have a Facebook page, I would very much appreciate it if you would 'Like' the page and 'Share' any of the posts. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Hunti...19375314832879
Also, if anyone wants to foster a dog or cat until November 2nd, we need fosters too. You can sign up to be a volunteer athttps://volunteer.sugarlandtx.gov/ and then choose either Foster-Dog or Foster-Cat on the calendar day Nov. 2. Obviously you would be fostering before the event, and not on that day, but this is how you would sign up to foster.
If anyone wants any information that I haven't provided, let me know.
Thanks in advance for any help you provide getting the word out! I thank you, and the dogs and cats thank you.
