  • Different Kind Of Labor Pains

I've been working and playing on my vacation this week, thanks again to FishLady for taking me out to Fayette, where we had a blast catching some nice bass.
Yesterday, I mixed up some ready mix concrete and poured another 3X3 foot slab for my new patio that will be finished by 2010 at the pace I'm following. Yesterday I started another project at the same time I was finishing up my slab for the patio, I started removing the St. Augustine grass under the front yard wrought iron fence. It was almost impossible to weed whack this fence line without using an entire spool of line on my Weed Whacker, so I decided to do something about it, here is my reward for all my hard work/labor yesterday, and today......to be fair....FishLady helped a little bit...... :)

Oh, and my thanks and apologies to EK who I was going to meet with today, but had to postpone due to being all wrapped up in lifting 50 pound bags of pea gravel and sand again.

Hey guys, I need something in my back yard...there's this big bare spot on the RH side of the yard where I'd like to put some gravel, grass, flag stone...don't know what...but would like to put a couple of lounges there during "pool time"...any experts out there who could advise us?   There's lots of (small) roots and bare ground there...any ideas from some "locals"...?  Any advice would be appreciated...if you want to come and do a "survey" we'll provide a beer or two...
