    Re: Trouble for Hillary?

Might I point out that Europe is approx 3,000 miles across, most people don't cross borders in their daily driving, but go short distances and all works out.
Here, we go 50 miles from one end of Houston to the southern neighborhoods, then go another 50 or so miles to the northern area.
100 miles at $7 a gallon, and assuming 20 miles a gallon, 5 x7=$35 for a little car to drive around Houston.
We will be economically shut down when you have to stay in your area of town for food, clothing, govt services, and just to see Mom or Chris...forget GHAC meetings.
People rarely use perspective when expounding a scenario, but relativity is what defines a situation as relevant or hypothetical.
I don't want to see the American way of life go the way of the American Bison, and we need to look carefully at what we espouse as a system of govt.
A gun in every house, health care for citizens only, oversight of our legislative bodies...pipe dreams for the various masses.
We need to be aware of the biggest crisis in our lives...the wolf is at the door.
We are at war, and so many don't think the fighting is real unless we hear the bullets zip overhead.
And if some group controls the economy you depend on, to the exclusion of our interests, do you really want to wait til things are so bad we all remember gas stations fondly from our youth?
The large number of Western countries are going to have to begin a serious effort to bring the wagons into a circle, or we will fail to protect the heritage we have to pass on to the next generation.
American history is vast and convoluted, but we are some of everyone and there is a quality of life here special to the US; loosing it would be a historical crime.

What does Europe being 3000 miles across have anything to do with it? Im confused. I used to work 27 miles from home, my mother used to work 15-20 miles from home, my sister works 30+ miles from her house. I admit that most Americans drive further than the average Brit. But if gas was as cheap over there, everyone would commute further to get a better paying job. Were used to the higher gas prices so we drive cars that are manual, and get 40+ to the gallon on average. We dont cruise around in our pickups just to cruise around in our pickups. In fact theres hardly any pickups over there.

oh and Houstons only about 30 miles from North Beltway 8 to South Beltway 8 between 45 and 288.  :P

Charles...keep it up! You are right on target.

It is just like the democrats to hear what they want to. Even if you are not a Bush fan (and I'm not at the moment) imagine where this country would be if Gore had been in office on 9/11 (shaking like a leaf under the desk   ) There would be Islamic terrorists blowing themselves up in every mall, and illegal aliens would be in office in Texas, well I guess we'd be Mexico again   . He professes to be "green" yet his house in Nashville consumes more electricity every month than the average American house does in a year  :!: There is enough oil in Alaska to keep us driving our cars until someone can make other power sources (Nuclear, solar, geothermal) available economically to the masses. Although I appreciate the caribou herds, let's drill...the raised pipelines won't interfere with their migrations. Fish and wildlife would still survive...

Democrats need to walk the walk, not just talk the talk....

Al Gore's home uses twenty times as much energy as the average American home?

                  Re: Trouble for Hillary?

i really think at this point citizens it has gone past the powers that be.....there are no democratics or republicans....it's the NWO that is at hand.....if we don't get smart to the fact that our government is manipulative toward all people that are out here and hard working then all will be lost.....
it's a matter of reality.....we...and i mean everyone who's not in the pockets of the political antichrist's....are to them "expendable"....and just like our brothers and sisters who died in the world trade center....and yes there were everyday people in those buildings just going to work trying to live some kind of a so called "american dream"....we're all going to end up just like them.....memories commemorated on a piece of metal with a few kind words on it....if we get that.....so wise up......raise up and tell them we're not going to stand still and allow them to take away our right to exist on this planet.....take away their stolen images of a "controlled" world where they say what we can and can't have anymore.....you can rest assure their not eating hamburger helper at their dinner table or worried how their going to pay the rent and feed their families......let alone put $4.00 a gallon gas in their limo's......

Honestly, I think if gore was not cheated out of the election we would not have had a 911. People forget the hate between Bush sr and Bin laden. Bush 1 almost drove us to a recession and Bush 2 have accomplish doing that. Tell me why we dropping 12 billions a month on a war we not winning? We are the United States of America...we should have found Bin Laden by now. But Bush felt it was more important to finish his dad works. Anyone hear remember when Saddam open profess that he didn't have anything to do with 9/11? Anyone remember when the UN stated there was no WMD in Iraq?  You and Charles can miss me with this pro war bull****. Better yet tell that to the 4000+ service men and women families that have lost their love one based on a damn lie.

Better yet...have anyone answer my question about the one positive thing Bush have done for the Us since he been in office? As Sam Cooke said " A change is coming" and most Americans cannot deal with it. We have feel from the rankings of a Super Power to the level of a renegade third world country.

and since you brought up the subject let's talk about illegals in the US. It's not hard to remove them...we could use that 12 billion to help with the cause. But when top Americans are using them to turn a profit it's kinda hard for congress to past laws knowing they would lose their slush funds access.

Say what you want.....but the republicans have dug us into this hole. I rather take a president getting head then to deal with an incompetent president

                      Re: Trouble for Hillary?

You're right. If Gore had WON the election we would not have had 911. That event wouldn't be memorable because it would pale in comparison to the number and severity of events that would have occurred. Saddam openly professed that he had nothing to do with 9/11?....then we should have taken that benevolent dictator at his word and given him the WMD's he never had so that he could have more efficiently wiped out portions of his own population. And everyone knows that if the UN stated it that it HAS to be true. What flawless logic! I am humbled. I answered the questions about Bush's positive results....but, as I suspected, you weren't receptive to hearing them. I'm sure he and Cheney are torturing baby rabbits as we speak! I would also rather take a president getting EDIT instead of an incompetent president. You let me know when we get one of those because Clinton was both. If Clinton had accepted the Sudan's MULTIPLE offers to turn over bin Laden then this wouldn't be much of an issue. Finally....while the loss of life is often a tragic necessity during wars....you'll find that most of our armed forces tend to come down on my side of this argument....and to attempt to use them as political pawns or to try to tug on the heartstrings of Americans in this (especially when misrepresenting their beliefs as a whole) is quite inappropriate.

                        LOL....ROFLMAO,

You are funny Charles. But really, you cannot honestly tell me that what you wrote above you actually think is right?

Do you remember why the UN was created?  And since you talking about benevolent dictator...what did he do to the US. Hell we are wiping out our own population here abroad with inadequate health care, poor government programs, stupid president, illegals running across the border, war on drugs...etc etc.

And Charles ....this is not a war. This a personal beef that got out of hand. And those in the armed forces who feel this is needed are not the ones the the battle fields taking bullets every day!

And the reason Sudan want to give up Bin Laden is to have terrorism sanctions against them lifted!

                          Re: Trouble for Hillary?

What difference does it make why the Sudan wanted to give him up? The point is that it tried....on numerous occasions....and we (Clinton) didn't accept. It is a war....it's a war against those who would destroy western civilization. It's a war to preserve our way of life. It's a war to stop those who have stated that they want to wipe us from the face of the earth. To consider it less than a war is folly. Why the UN was created....and what it is now....are two entirely different things, aren't they? And thank you for comparing our domestic issues to a genocidal dictator....it's a far better argument than any I could have come up with to show people where you stand. What has to happen for you to believe? Have you seen the videos of our people being beheaded? How many have to die on our own soil before you say ENOUGH!? One, a hundred, thousands, MILLIONS? We're already to thousands. What does it take to make a liberal believe?
