  • Blueberries anyone?

We tried something fun and different today...picking blueberries. Check out Moorehead's Blueberry Farm and pick berries to your hearts content! Moorehead's is located between Porter and The Woodlands off FM 1314. They give you buckets and point you in the direction of the ripest berries, and you can pick and nibble as you go! I ate almost as many as I kept.    We actually brought home 9 lbs. The charge is $1.50 a pound. Not a PINT, a pound!

Never seen a blueberry bush before? They are people-height and have NO THORNS!  Children run around picking and laughing, people chat and stroll the rows. An hour's picking can harvest 5+ pounds. Don't make the mistake of leaving with too few, they freeze beautifully, and last all year. They are open June-July, 7 days a week, "daylight hours". We went at about 5:30 pm for about 1 1/2 hours. Take bug spray and sunblock!

Interesting that SteveCGGs post is almost verbatim copied from Nourishing Traditions Cooking Clubs article on the farm.

Little lack of literary creativity? Were you really there?

                Philbert,
Yes I was actually there...I didn't realize that literary creativity counted when posting something interesting for everyone to enjoy. If it truly matters that much to you, I apologize that I just added a few of my own words to their description, it was quicker and gee, I'm impressed that you took time trying to find the source...

I guess everyone that posts a link, or cuts and pastes info for others to read about or learn from has to go though English 101 and the literary council first

As for the blueberries, we froze them and took some on the drive to Memphis and made two different kinds of cobbler when we got there. Both were awesome!

                  Re: Blueberries anyone?

There is plagarism, and posting. Why not write a post in your own words...you posted someone else's words as your own.
Not English 101, copying without acknowledging the fact. Your choice, I noticed and spoke.
I personally give credit when I use another source for info, and write my own posts.
I merely Googled the Farm, and there it was...almost identical words from someone else's post elsewhere.

I'm going to go to the farm and get me some blueberries!
                    Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.
