macbook

I was thinking of getting a macbook to take advantage of their school promotion.  Has anyone ever own a macbook?  If you do what is your experience on using them.  I have never own an apple computer.

Apple makes a superb notebook product. The Mac book pro is outstanding. IMO, its only downside is the cost.

Mac is the best notebook made. It does not get viruses, no 3 finger salutes on it.
It just works backwards from windows.

Well thank you guys for the advice.  I'm getting the macbook.  I wanted to get the macbook pro but yeah it cost way to much plus I wont be using any graphic intensive app.  Thats the thing I hate about windows is the virus.  Somehow I had to change 3 new hardrive in two years.

Anytime you get a windows operating system you need to get a backup CD.

Jklntx I had forgotten about OS10.5 but the is the best one yet.
I guess thats what happens when you not deal with them for over a year.
Man I need to get me a mac soon.

i have actually researched the issue of mac vs windows to death and my conclussion is that the next computer I get will be a bit fruity....no more to do with the MS....unless its gaming apps.
