You can move it to the lounge, I don't think it's going to hurt anything.  But just remember, most of the people talking on this one have guns and some of us know where you live....

I will be honest with you all.  The Barrett m82a1 is a nice rifle..  Its used by snipers in the US, but once you are done with that... then there is another rifle you have to try out.  The rifle I am thinking of is the Accuracy International AWSM (Arctic Warfare Super Magnum) 338 Lapua.

http://www.tacproshootingcenter.com/...rnational.html   Bill Davison (owner of Tac Pro) was the original importer of this rifle, but as more and more are being sold in the US I noticed that impactguns and other locations in the US have popped up.  yes Bill Davison is British which is why he prolly got into them before anyone else did.    Bill is retired SAS, and he has been featured in several magazines and other material about rifle shooting.

            Brochure 2005 (http://www.impactguns.com/store/media/ai_2005.pdf)

This rifle is NOT semi auto, but a magazine bolt driven rifle.   Its more accurate than the m82a1, and it has a better "go out there and touch someone"
The rifle is used by the British and more and more special forces etc in the US are using them.  They are replacing old "PSG-1" with these rifles.
There is a law enforcement version of the this rifle.  I dont know if its available for public sale.

The Barrett has more "WHoa" factor to it though.

                Re: Bass Pro @beltway/288

Ek --- I have access to go shoot an m82a1 when ever I can talk my friend Sloan to take it out.  Donations to the bullet fund has to be given as the price has increased lately from "ok" to HOT DA*N HIGH (ie $1/shot to $4-5 a shot.)

Phil will let us shoot it up there... but more fun if I can talk him into taking it up to his deer lease... where we could put some range on it :)

I still want to fire the AI .338 one of these days and the other rifle I want to play with is the Barrett Model 99 in a 416 configuration.

I know about the WHOA factor of the M82a1 but in the end.. its all about how close to the X you can put your bullet at 2500 yards :) :) :) :)   hehe

That's true, but you can miss more with the .50 and still be closer.
