      that credit surcharge is probably against their contract with the credit card companies...  its ok if they offer a cash discount off the posted price, but they cannot charge you above the posted price for using a credit card



      go in and ask them to ring you up using the proper price or you'll report them to the cc company for breech of contract.

      as far as the fish store charging to go in... I dont care for it... and I wouldnt shop there anymore...  There's a petstore in lubbock that sells lots of reptiles and other exotic pets... They put all the animals in a different room and started charging for you to see the animals...  I stopped going... I always liked seeing all the animals and browsing the whole store when I went in to get crickets or mealies...  once they started charging for the animals... I just started raising my own mealworms... was cheaper...

      I think in the long run it will definitely hurt business...

        I agree, there are other ways to compensate the fluctuation of the market then charging a 'cover fee'. ridiculous..
