    We Lost A Friend Today

    Anyone who knew me knows about Sunny and what he ment to my family.  Sadly, today he passed away.  To us he was more than a fish and we will miss him terribly.  It was because of him we got into fish like we have and he was our first cichlid.  Now there is an empty place in our tank and our hearts.  Below is my favorite picture of him - he was beautiful.  

    Thank you Traci - for everything.  I know you tried to help and even though he didn't make it I will never forget what you did.

      He was a very beautiful cichlid.

        That is a wonderful picture of him and a great photo to remember him by.  I'm so sorry about Sunny.  I know it hurts, it hurts me too.

            i'm sorry for your loss scooby.....i know how it feels to loose the little friends we have.....they become a part of us so quickly...
            what a gorgeous fishie he was....and i know you have such a heavy heart about his passing....
            but what a place he made in your lives.....he'll be forever remembered....

                He was the first Fish I had too! I bought a 30 gallon aquarium on ebay with stand and filter for 30 bucks and he was included!! A lot of personality! By the looks of your signature you REALLY got into aquariums after you got him.

                    Thank you everyone for your kind words.  Thanks for the extra pictures gt3guru!!  And you're right about his personality.  He had more in one fin than most fish will ever have.  You just had to know him to understand.  I think thats the best $30 you ever spent.  The picture I posted of him was taken while my daughter was in front of the tank.  For some reason Sunny always thought she looked good enough to eat!!  He would only attack the glass like that for her.

                            Yes he was a Kenyi Raul.  Sunny was 7 1/2 inches long.
