This place is one of the reasons that I'm single....LOL!!!  The ex thought that my fish and this place came before her, something about 8 tanks is a little too excessive or something!!!!

To heck with this thread, we need to start a singles section or something.  Atleast we would all start out with something in common... LOL!!!

lol, I think my picture is still up on that "post your ugly mug" thread. I am indeed a girl. But hopefully not an ugly one.

Here's the short version of the long story:
David and I were together (Ek was there when it all conjured up)....we stayed together for a good amount of time (we actually met on HFB, he was buying a driftwood from me). Then I graduated from Rice and took over a branch of my dad's company in Austin. Then my dad decided to retire and he gave the company to me.
As much as I wanted to stay, I had to go because  my obligation to the company just outweighed staying home. So, I left.
We're not really "not together", we both have the option of "our freedom" I suppose. But neither of us date other people.
So, he's finishing up getting things put together for his kids and taking care of what he needs to. And I'm doing what I have to do.
I should be back home in about a 1-2 years (for good) and he's a good enough man to wait (or so he says)  :wink: So, I guess things will happen when I get back home.
Like I said, it's a long story and there is MUCH MUCH more to it. This is just the outline.

Also, we're both relatively young. I'm just 22 and he wants me to accomplish things before I settle down for good. (I think talking to my dad-and his pet shotgun may have a little something to do with David being so "understanding"  :wink: ).
I met the right person, just a little too early in life. We both have things we want to get done. Ya know?

i do understand.  im also pretty young.  im only 21.  I believe that i have met the right person too but it is so hard to stay confident about that with my age and the things that i would still like to do.  That is quite an undertaking running a business at the age of 22.  Im a man and also have a pet shotgun so i too can understand the respect for another man's shotgun.  What do you mean that you are not home.  your profile says galveston.  Is that not where you stay most of the time.  Well i saw your picture and you are beautiful, ramius is a lucky man if you are staying with him.  I too have a picture posted up in the same thread.

I bought a loft in Galveston (because this is primarily where I work). But I also travel to Austin and Houston weekly. Bleh, it's all a pain but it's also an opportunity that alot of people don't get. Serious relationships at our age are tricky.
On the plus side, pet shotguns are coming back into style. And thanks for saying I'm beautiful.  
I've seen your picture too, you and your girlfriend are a very cute couple. Hopefully, you can bring her to a few CAK meetings. We can make "we love our CAKS" shirts.

I really am surprised about the number of attractive people I've met through fishbox.
